We’ve created this reference guide of resources to help primary care providers screen patients for depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and alcohol/substance misuse. As you’re aware, treatment is critical since it can contribute to the patient’s readiness to change at risk behaviors.
Using screening tools in primary care follows the recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, an independent group of national experts in prevention and evidence-based medicine for behavioral health disorders.
To help support you further, United Behavioral Health, which manages behavioral health services for UnitedHealthcare members, has information to support you and your patients in treating depression, alcohol/substance use disorders or ADHD. That’s why Optum Idaho is pleased to share a new resource, Optum’s digital behavioral therapy treatment support self-help smartphone app called “Sanvello.” Sanvello offers clinical techniques to help dial down the symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. It's there with powerful tools to help when and where you need it. Stay engaged each day for benefits you can feel.
The basic version of Sanvello is free to anyone, and to better support some of our most vulnerable Idahoans, we offer the full-featured, premium version of the app at no extra charge to all Idaho Medicaid Members and members of other select health care plans. The premium version can be activated simply by entering your Idaho Medicaid ID or other qualified health insurance plan information in the app. We invite you to try out Sanvello yourself by downloading it for free on the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android) and watching this video tour of Sanvello.
