    Treasury Summer Internship

    Ready to make an impact?

    Are you the equivalent of a rising senior in college working towards a career on the trading floor of a major bank, investment or private equity firm or one of the departments supporting that function? Get a strong boost down that path with a Treasury Summer Internship.

    With us, you will not just work in financial markets: you will help create new ones.

    The Treasury Summer Internship is a junior professional training program designed to develop the skills necessary to have an exciting and rewarding career in the financial industry. The program aims to bring exceptional college students, who possess key bank online job application demonstrated interest in a financial career, to support the World Bank’s development mandate. The internship lays the foundation to become a Junior Analyst, a two-year position on one Treasury team, immediately after the intern graduates from their degree program. 

     

    The Internship 

    Treasury Summer Interns will work full-time for ten weeks from May 31 through August 16, 2022, in Washington, DC. Interns receive a custom onboarding program in the first week before beginning three three-week rotations across Treasury teams. Throughout the summer, interns participate in weekly discussions with the program director and attend a career perspectives speaker series to hear from various Treasury officers, managers, and directors. Interns have access to the nearly 300-employee Treasury, including meetings with the Vice President & Treasurer. Interns complete the internship by presenting their work in a capstone project to the entire management team.

    Onboarding Week: May 31 – June 3

    Rotation 1: June 6 – June 24

    Rotation 2: June 27 – July 20

    Rotation 3: July 21 – August 10

    Break: August 11-12 & 15

    Capstone Presentation: August 16

     

    The Work

    Up to 14 individuals will work across Treasury’s 14 teams this summer, and each intern will have a different rotation schedule to create 14 unique experiences. Treasury has three departments and a compliance & controls team. It’s highly encouraged for applicants to read more about our organization and its teams. Each team has an intern mentor and coordinator to supervise and support their work. Interns will be responsible for specific individual tasks or projects in one of Treasury’s departments, and, depending on interest and skills, will perform some or all the following:

    Asset Management
    Create daily market reports, shadow portfolio managers to understand asset management best practices, and work on Bloomberg terminal with asset managers.

    Client Advisory
    Support the engagement managerspractices through RAMP, Reserve Advisory & Management Partnership, which has over $25 billion of assets under management. Support the branding and marketing of products to central banks, international financial institutions, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.

    Compliance & Risk Management
    Work on one of the fastest growing sectors of the financial industry through understanding operational risk, business continuity, trade compliance and conflicts of interest risk.

    Financial Infrastructure & Banking Operations
    Shadow full-time employees as they liaise with hundreds of banks/custodians and communicate complex ideas and solutions with potential and existing clients.

    Fintech & Innovation
    Work on the regions bank open account online edge of finance through research, presentations, and event management on leading issues in digital and cryptocurrencies.

    Financial Solutions
    Provide background research on catastrophe bonds and currency and commodity hedging products for sovereign clients, including joining calls with Ministries of Finance and supporting presentations to clients.

    Participate in investor calls, observe trades across Asian, European, and American markets, and learn about the issuance programs and supporting legal documentation.

    Products, Knowledge & Research
    Organize, clean, and visualize data for internal and external reports, support subject matter experts on issues of reserve management, ESG, and more.

    Sustainable Finance & Investor Relations
    Draft investor presentation materials, memos, and responses to serve existing clients and investors and to generate new business.

    Structured Finance & Quantitative Modeling
    Apply statistical analysis, mathematics, and computational finance to support our trading and structured finance, market-making operations, and asset management teams.

    Client Experience Associate provides sales, client service and administrative support to enable assigned Key Private Bank officers (Relationship Manager, Wealth Advisor, Client Experience Manager) to deliver an exceptional client experience, high quality service and to maximize sales production.     ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    Build and maintain client relationships• Provide organizational support to assigned Key Private Bank (KPB) Officer, Relationship Manager (RM), Wealth Advisor (WA) and/or Client Experience Manager (CEM) in execution of the KPB Sales and Client Experience process, which may include supporting the following

    • Prepare and participate in the development of sales presentations, relationship reviews, and other materials for client meeting. Assist in developing client Roadmap, Dossier and Wealth Issues Review
    • Scheduling of internal and external meetings (Pre / Post Call team meetings and Client Meetings)
    • Coordinate new client onboarding process
    • Ensure integrity of client data / submit maintenance as required
    • Contribute to overall office experience
    • Conduct and participate in Annual Service Reviews

    • Handle and resolve routine requests, processes transactions, such as wire transfers, issuance of cashiers’ checks, non-sufficient funds and overdrafts within established levels of authority. Refer appropriate matters to KPB Officer
    • Resolve issues and follow up with clients and/or advisors to ensure satisfaction.
    • Will likely serve as the primary contact for some client relationships.
    • Generate new deposit account documentation. Maintain client files and records that include properly executed signature cards and all required supporting documentation i.e. corporate resolutions, copies of legal agreements, etc.
    • Onboard new IM&T account, including pre-acceptance, new account paperwork, asset collection, Keylink and fee set-up.
    • Generate and/or coordinate the preparation of loan documents. Ensure that the loan documents are consistent with the terms and conditions of the loan approval. Able to interpret terms and conditions of the various loan documents, including the terms and conditions on unique and complex credit facilities. Monitor reports and initiate client contact to request financial information, collateral reports, etc. in support of loan renewals and reviews.     Actively participate on the Administration teams:

    • Provide backup training and support for other Associates.
    • Serve as a resource for the team on projects
    • Participate in Private Bank efficiencies, i.e. identify issues (determine if systemic), provide solutions, and escalate if appropriate.
    • Build and maintain effective working relationships with other team members, Wealth Services and centralized support areas to ensure high quality and timely administration of assigned fiduciary accounts and a seamless delivery of the Client Experience.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or equivalent experience
    • A minimum of 3-5 years related work experience or equivalent combination of work/educational background.
    • General knowledge of financial products and services, including banking, trust and investments.
    • Demonstrated proficiency and effectiveness in client service skills (including handling client/prospect and Center of Influence (COI) inquiries and relationships), communication skills (including verbal, phone and written), and problem resolution skills.
    • Demonstrated proficiency and effectiveness in organizational skills including the ability to balance multiple requests and prioritize tasks in an efficient manner or order to support multiple people.
    • Ability to interact effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Ability to work, make decisions and manage client relationships independently while managing competing priorities.

    Facilitate the processing of business unit’s third party engagements through all phases of Key’s third party management (TPM) life cycle using GRC to record engagement information, calculate risk information and assign action items.     CLEVELAND, Ohio — The COVID-19 pandemic has been a time of reflection for suntrust bank credit card customer service phone number, and people have come out of 2021 prioritizing their personal lives over their work, a KeyBank survey found.

    Of the 1,081 people surveyed, 62% said work-life balance was most important to them, while only 22% said a high-paying job was. Mitch Kime, Keybank’s head of consumer lending and payments, said it isn’t surprising — given the crazy and stressful two years everyone has had.

    “It has really prompted us to think about a new way of life,” Kime said.

    Here’s four findings from KeyBank’s 2022 Financial Mobility Survey.

    Career building not a priority

    People are putting other priorities ahead of building their careers, which was the seventh most important priority.

    Spending time with family and friends and growing their finances were the top two, but pursuing passions outside of work, spending time in nature, self-care and exercise were all more important to people than building their career, according to the survey.

    One-in-4 people key bank online job application said their standard of living improved in 2021, compared to 2020.

    Two in 10 Americans made career shifts

    Keybank found that 22% of people made a career change since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

    Among the people who made a career change,the most common reason was people choosing to retire (22%) and people who left one job for another (21%). About 11% of people said they were forced to retire.

    While 13% of the people who made career change left a job and want a new one, 11% of the people who left a job are unemployed by choice.

    Another 12% of people were laid off and found a new job. Some were laid off and can’t find a new job (7%) and some were laid off and don’t want a new job (3%).

    1-in-4 people increased their income

    In the last 12 months, 26% of people increased their income, according to the survey, with 10% of them seeing a significant increase.

    For 53%, income stayed the same, while 16% of people lost income. Keybank said 37% of people faced notable financial challenges over the last year.

    More people are seeking financial information

    More than half of the people surveyed (53%) sought out more financial information because of challenges they faced in 2021. According to the survey, 48% said financial information made them feel more resilient during the pandemic.

    Keybank also found that income had a lot to do with financially confidence. Only 54% of people making less than $25,000 were confident they could grow their finances. That number is higher if someone is making between $25,000 and $50,000 (70%) or between $50,000 and $100,000 (77%).

    Confidence also came with mistakes, according to the survey, with 79% of financial experts saying they made financial mistake — more than any other group
