Perfect if you can't make a deposit

I have a secured card and just applied for this card as well and my score is 560TU 580EQ. The app itself took 5 minutes to complete. I was approved within two business days (applied on Friday and got the message on Tuesday), the card was mailed in two business days (sent Thursday), and I received the card that following Monday. Less than 2 weeks from the application date. I never had to send any documents to anyone and I never received any phone calls. I really don't understand what people are complaining about. Let me be clear about something most reviewers don't seem to understand: YOU HAVE POOR CREDIT. YES THERE ARE FEES THEY NEED TO MAKE MONEY. ALL OF THE FEES ARE LISTED BEFORE APPLYING AND IN THE AGREEMENT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO READ BEFORE FINALIZING YOUR APP. It's like asking someone to trust you when you have a history of lying. They need to protect their money and their investors' money (if they have any idk) so they're going to charge you in case you default. It helps mitigate losses. After a year of good payments, your score should go up considerably ASSUMING you're not flopping any of your other loans, and then you can move onto bigger and better fish with lower/no fees. Mine went up 100 points in just 7 months because I buckled down and kept my payments up. After a year of this card I'll move on. That's what this card is used for. Also, I read some reviewers saying the fees for credit limit increases are insane but it states right in the user agreement that CREDIT LIMIT INCREASES ARE OPTIONAL. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE THEM AND PAY NOTHING. Again, you have bad credit. Stop whining and suck it up for a year or two until you can qualify for better cards. I haven't needed to contact to customer service so I will give them no rating.

    Does not care about customers

On Friday, November 3, 2017 I discovered almost $900 had been withdrawn from my checking account to "Credit One." Knowing I had not initiated such a payment, I attempted to login to my Credit One account to discover my login information was not working. I called Credit One immediately, and learned there had been several fraudulent charges to my card, and that they had paid off my card balance with my checking account (without my consent, obviously) in order to charge MORE to my credit card. A fraud case was opened on my account. I was told I would be receiving an affidavit that I must sign within 15 business days. I called after one week to follow up, as I had not yet received the affidavit. I was told I need to wait the 15 days before following up. Today is day 15 and I have not received an affidavit. I called Credit One again, to be told that there was NO RECORD of the affidavit on my file! They sent another request for the affidavit to be sent and I would have to wait another 1-2 weeks to receive it. I expressed how upset I was that it may be more than a month for me to get my money back, and I am unable to pay my mortgage in the meantime. She replied that Credit One policy for fraud cases is 30-60 days, and not more than 90 for resolution - IT MAY TAKE THREE MONTHS FOR THEM TO EVEN DECIDE WHETHER THEY WILL REFUND MY $900!! I have experienced fraudulent charges and activity with other credit and bank accounts in the past, and have never had to wait more than 1-2 weeks for things to be rectified. It also completely lacks integrity that they would make a promise to send me a critical piece of communication to sign within 15 days, for me to have followed up twice on it, and for them to not only not keep their promise, but to have zero record of anything about it. If I did anything comparable to renege on my end of the agreements with Credit One, I would be charged late fees and my credit would be affected. Unfortunately, fraud and account hacking is part of the risk that financial companies must take on in today's world, and customers expect that their lives will not be upended as a result of doing business with them. Fortunately, consumers have choices also, and I will be making the choice to discontinue my relationship with Credit One as soon as this case is resolved. I highly recommend you choose another credit card company that will quickly make things right if this happens to you (which it likely will in today's world) so you don't end up in my position.

This company is the worst! Charged me a late fee when my payment was made 8 days early I called to cancel the card and they said I can’t do that they have to report it stolen first. I will be contacting the BBB

    Not a good card

    Credit Karma Member

This card is the worst they charge for everything was recently sent an email from them asking if I wanted an increase and if so they would give it to me after I paid 9.95 fee like really what credit card charges for balance increase they also charge interest even if your card has been paid off in full from carrying a balance the prior month will be paying off and closing

    Horrible company

    Credit Karma Member

Only having the card for 4 months and making my my payments on time, they closed my account due to insufficient funds on 1 payment, which was not right. The funds were in my account. They didn't even try to take the payment. When I explained that to them they pretty much called me a liar . I have a bank statement showing the money was in my account. They gave me the run around and now they keep piling up fees on top of my balance every month. Plus dropping my credit score by 60 points.

    Good Card to have

After my 2009 job loss and subsequent 3 year unemployment I had to file Chapter 7 and Bank One was the first to offer me a card which helped me re-establish my credit. I am very grateful.

    Great Credit Builder

    Credit Karma Member

this was my 2nd card on the road to credit recovery. No annual fee. Monthly interest charges on open balances. I have zeroed it out and had no charge that month despite what other reviews say. It did take them 1 1/2 years to increase the limit, and then only by $150 but at the same time they offered a new card with double the limit and several benefits. Customer service has always been there when I call and they haven't failed to address my issues appropriately. Quite pleased.

    Dont take the bait

    Credit Karma Member

This credit card makes money with hidden fees, slow payment processing, high annual fees, and express payment fees. Constantly making changes to their policy hoping you dont notice so they can legally charge you another fee. They do not value people who pay the cards off and on time.

Discover it® Business: simple, smart benefits business owners need

You can apply for Discover credit cards at Discover.com or by calling 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683). Select from cash back credit cards or travel credit cards. We also have Discover student cards and a Discover business card. All our credit cards earn Discover rewards on every purchase. You’ll need to be 18 or older to apply for a card. If you're not yet 21, you will have to apply online. Discover business card and Discover Secured credit card applicants must also apply online.

Discover card credit score requirements vary by product. In general, the standard Discover it® Card is for people with established credit. But the Discover Secured credit card is built for people looking to build or rebuild their credit with responsible use.4 No matter what, cardmembers earn Discover Card rewards on every purchase.

People wondering how to get a credit card should check their credit score with a free tool like the Discover Credit Scorecard. Then you may want to do a credit card comparison and choose the one that’s best for you. It’s always good to check if you’re pre-approved to see your likely offers before you apply for a card. While checking if you’re pre-approved won’t hurt your credit, each full application for a credit card may impact your credit score.

If you’re thinking about how to get a credit card, check your credit score to figure out your likely credit card eligibility. Then, a credit card comparison can help you choose the one that’s best for you. It’s always good to check if you’re pre-approved for a card before you apply. Checking if you’re pre-approved won’t harm your credit, but applying for credit cards may impact your credit score. Check to see if you‘re pre-approved.

You may receive credit card offers in the mail, by email or online. Compare your offers by rewards, sign-up bonus, benefits, APR (including introductory rates), fees and credit limits. Look for rewards programs that fit the way you spend: if you know you will use the card for groceries, gas, dining or travel, you may be able to find a card that helps you earn more. And look for a sign-up bonus that doesn’t have a minimum spending amount required to get your extra rewards.

Different credit cards require a different credit rating for approval. Some cards are only for people with excellent credit or good credit. Other cards are great if you have fair credit or are building or rebuilding credit. The credit card company will run a credit check as part of its decision to approve your application. It’s a good idea to check your credit score or get a copy of your credit report before applying for a new card.

A credit card is a revolving loan that you can use to make purchases. Each month you’ll receive a statement telling you how much of the loan you have used and have to pay back. If you pay the statement balance in full by the due date each month, you will not be charged interest on purchases. Otherwise your APR will apply to your unpaid credit card balance and you’ll have interest charges in your next statement. When you apply for a credit card, the credit card issuer will pull your credit report – which could result in a hard inquiry – as one of the factors they use to decide whether to approve your application. Credit cards often provide rewards on purchases, which is usually a percentage of the amount you spent with the card. A credit card comparison shows you different rewards and benefits and can help you find the credit card that’s best for you.

Your credit limit is the maximum amount of the revolving line of credit on your card—or the total amount you can use on your card for purchases, balance transfers, etc. When you apply for a credit card, the bank or credit card company uses a variety of information to decide what credit limit they can offer. As you show responsible credit use, credit card issuers may increase your credit card limit.

There are many reasons to get a credit card: you may decide to apply for a credit card for the rewards, APR (including intro rates) or sign-up offers. Or you might want to build your credit history. Some credit cards like Discover provide $0 Fraud Liability Guarantee, which means you’re never responsible for unauthorized purchases on your Discover Card.6 Also, credit cards often provide extra benefits, like providing helpful alerts on your spending and more.

Credit card companies consider a number of factors in their decision to approve your application, including your credit history and your ability to repay. So they may consider your credit score, income and more. One of the simplest helpful credit habits is to make at least the minimum payment for all of your bills on time every month.

Credit One Bank Wander Credit Card Review

Credit One Bank® Wander™ Card vs. Citi® Double Cash Card

The Citi® Double Cash Card offers a 2% flat rate cash back on all purchases with no limit on the rewards that may be earned—2% cash back on all purchases—1% when purchases are made and another 1% when they’re paid off The no-annual-fee Citi® Double Cash Card is the gold standard when it comes to cash-back cards and likely to give nearly every credit card a run for its money. Compared to the Wander Card, it’s difficult to imagine the Citi® Double Cash Card coming out behind in every situation except a family trip to an amusement park or a trip to other recreational parks.

What might make sense here for some hardcore vacationers is combining the power of these cards and carrying both. Where the Credit One Bank Wander Card’s top earning categories don’t work, the Citi® Double Cash Card is can earn double the return. If choosing one credit card, the Wander Card is unlikely to be a better choice than the Citi® Double Cash Card, but these cards can work well together.

The card also offers introductory APR periods. 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 18 months. After that, the standard variable APR will be 13.99% - 23.99%, based on creditworthiness. There is also an intro balance transfer fee of either $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater, completed within the first 4 months of account opening. After that, the fee will be 5% of each transfer (minimum $5)

Credit One Bank® Wander™ Card vs. Disney® Premier Visa® Card*

Few, if any other cards offer such tremendous rewards for amusement and recreational parks. One card that might make sense for those interested in amusement parks is the Disney® Premier Visa® Card* from Chase. The $49 annual fee card offers cardholders the ability to earn 2% in Disney Rewards Dollars on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most Disney locations. Plus, earn 1% on all other card purchases. New cardholders can also earn a $300 Statement Credit after you spend $1000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

This much lower reward earning on different categories appears to suggest the cards are built with different strategies. With the Wander Card, cardholders earn points while spending at any amusement park. With the Disney card, cardholders earn points on everyday spending like at gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants. These points can then earn cardholders an opportunity for an airfare redemption to get to a Disney park.

Regardless, we’re confident that the solution here for amusement-park lovers is to choose the Wander Card (or perhaps its no-annual-fee version) or another card (or cards) from our list of The Best Credit Cards for Disney Vacations and use a secondary card to earn points year-round to help pay for the trip. With the expense associated with amusement parks like Disney World, the extra 3% in reward earnings makes the Wander Card that much more magical than even Disney’s card offers.

Credit One Bank® Wander™ Card vs. Credit One Bank® Wander™ Card With No Annual Fee

With mostly identical terms and fine print, the Credit One Bank® Wander™ Card With No Annual Fee offers eligible applicants a version of the same card that earns less and comes without the welcome bonus of a statement credit for a National Parks Pass. Losing the $95 annual fee, the Credit One Bank® Wander™ Card With No Annual Fee will earn 3 points per dollar on eligible recreational and amusement park purchases, 2 points per dollar on eligible restaurant and lodging purchases and 1 point per dollar on all other purchases (terms apply).

The key takeaway we’d like to underline by making this comparison is that if considering an application for a Wander Card with or without the annual fee, run the numbers first: Will the $95 annual fee make sense? A statement credit for a National Parks Pass will be issued for $80 if one is purchased—but only the first year as a cardholder. For those who don’t plan to use the pass often enough to justify the value, we are skeptical the fee will make sense. For those spending large enough at amusement parks, it may still make sense. Evaluating which card makes more sense—if either at all—will involve projecting spending year over year in those top earning categories.

With the Disney card, cardholders earn points on everyday spending like at credit one application status credit card stations, grocery stores and restaurants.

It also completely lacks integrity that they would make a promise to send credit one application status credit card a critical piece of communication to sign within 15 days, for me to have followed up twice on it, and for them to not only not keep their promise, but to have zero record of anything about it.

When I explained that to them they pretty much called me a liar. I have a bank statement showing the money was in my account. They gave me the run around and now they keep piling up fees on top of my balance every month. Plus dropping my credit score by 60 points.

After my 2009 job loss and subsequent 3 year unemployment I had to file Chapter 7 and Bank One was the first to offer me a card which helped me re-establish my credit. I am very grateful.

this was my 2nd card on the road to credit recovery. No annual fee. Monthly interest charges on open balances. I have zeroed it out and had no charge that month despite what other reviews say. It did take them 1 1/2 years to increase the limit, and then only by $150 but at login prime video same time they offered a new card with double the limit and credit one application status credit card benefits. Customer service has always been there when I call and they haven't failed to address my issues appropriately. Quite pleased.

    Dont take the bait

This credit card makes money with hidden fees, slow payment processing, high annual fees, and express payment fees. Constantly making changes to their policy hoping you dont notice so they can legally charge you another fee. They do not value people who pay the cards off and on time.
