Once you are done setting up your page, the next step is to add colors to it by adding pictures.
Profile Picture- Start by uploading profile pic for your business page. The profile picture will be the first impression of your business page, so make sure it leaves a mark on the audience. The photo must represent your brand or must be absolutely relatable to your business.
The profile picture will accompany your business name in the Facebook search results. If you are promoting a brand, you can use the logo or if it is a local business, something that will give an overview of your business will work.
To upload a profile picture:
Cover Photo- Next, you will have to upload the cover image for your business page. It will represent the core theme of your business and its overall personality.
To upload a cover photo:
That was about the second important part of setting up a business page on Facebook.
If you are running a business, this feature is really significant for you. By adding a button to your FB page, you can make it easy for visitors to send you a message, book an appointment and much more. For that, click on ‘+ Add a Button’ option.
The next important step is to invite your Facebook friends to like your page and see what you have to offer. On the same page, you will find this section as shown in the image below, just click on ‘Invite’ for the friend you want to share your page with. If your friends like your page, they will be able to see all your page’s activities on their news feed.
The next step is to tell people how they can find your page on Facebook. So you need to create a username for your page that is also known as vanity URL. It can be only up to 50 characters long and make sure it is easy to remember. You can use your business name or a slight variation of it.
To create a username for your Facebook page:
Note- If you have recently created your Facebook page and are not able to create a username, this is not a glitch. You might need to wait for some days before you can set a username for your business page. |
This is a section on your FB page where you can add various information related to your business that will help in its expansion.
Under ‘Set Up Your Page for Success’ section, you will find three options depending on the category of your business.
Create a page name |
Choose a category |
Add a profile picture |
Add a cover photo |
Add a description |
If you have already completed the above steps, just proceed to the next option.
Add your business’s website |
Add the business location |
Mention your business hours |
Add your phone number |
Set your messaging preference |
Add an action button |
Complete all the above steps to proceed to the next option.
Invite your friends |
Create a welcome Post |
After completing all the above steps, you are ready to promote your page.
First is ‘Business or Brand’ where you can promote your product, service or brand to expand your customer base.
The other one is ‘Community or Public Figure’ where you can connect with more people in your community, organisation, team etc.
So as the choice is clear click on ‘Get Started’ for the first option i.e. Business or brand.
Doing so will mark your acceptance of Facebook’s terms and conditions for Business Pages, so make sure you have read them properly before proceeding.
The profile picture will accompany your business name in the Facebook search results. It will also be shown on the top left of your Facebook page. If you are promoting a brand, you can use the logo or if it is a local business, something that will give an overview of your business will work.
Once you are done with selecting a good picture, click on ‘Upload a Profile Picture’.
Voila! Your page has been created. A brief synopsis of the page will provide you with what features you are going to get to promote your page. Clicking on the prompts will also help you. There is much more to do before you start sharing your page.
Show the world what you are going to offer them. Tell people about your business in just 1-2 sentences.
Click on ‘About’ from the left column and then click on ‘Edit About’. You will see a dialog box saying ‘Describe Your Page’ where you have to add the description and click on ‘Save’.
The next step is to tell people how they can find your page on Facebook. So you need to create a username for your page that is also known as vanity URL. It can be only up to 50 characters long and make sure it is easy to remember. You can use your business name or a slight variation of it. To create username:
This you can do later as well but it is important to fill out all the fields of ‘About’ section of the page so that the customers can easily obtain information about you. Customers look for various details to determine whether to take your services or not, so if they will not be satisfied with the information provided on your page, they will look for other options.
In the ‘About’ section, you can add your business details, start date, phone number, email address and website.
On the left side, you will see an option ‘Edit page info’, clicking on that will allow you to set the location of your business as well the opening hours. Once you are done entering the entire location and other details of your business, click ‘Save Changes’.
Before you start inviting people to your business Facebook page, you must have something to showcase or engage them. A no-post page will not make a good impression, hence create one or two posts beforehand. It would be better if you create your own post, or you can also post an event or a product offer. Click on ‘Create’ from the top and in the dialog box that appears, you will be able to post text, photos or videos. Click on ‘Share Now’ once you are ready with your first post.
Start by inviting your family and friends to like the page. You can use your other social accounts and website to promote your page. Ask your customers to review your product or service on Facebook and you can also use ‘follow us’ logo on your promotional materials.
In the next step, fill in your name and e-mail to which all the information from this Business Manager will be sent (remember, however, that you will sign in through your personal Facebook profile).
Congrats, you have now set up a Business Manager account, and you’ll probably see something like the page below.
Now it’s time to dive into it or create your Pages, Ad Accounts, and invite your colleagues or advertising agencies to work together. You can do it right through the three links on the main page you see in the picture above. But, these links will disappear after some time, so we’ll show you a more complicated but usual way of how to do it.
Click on the “Business Manager” menu button at the top left, and you will see the entire Business Manager menu that will be the main point of orientation for you. It looks like this:
The next step will lead you to “Settings” and “Store Settings” – this is the setting of Business Manager itself, the menu on the left includes management of users, pages, advertising accounts and much more.
How do you add your already created Page to your Business Manager? In the left Business Settings menu, click on “Pages” to see the following page. In the first column, there is a list of all Pages you are authorized to, on the right-hand side, there are all details of the Page you chose on the left side, specifically people and partners who have access to it through your Business Manager.
Since you have just established Business Manager, you have to add your Page there. To do this, use the blue “+ Add” button above the list of Pages. After clicking, this action will take you here:
Both Add A Page and Request Access to a Page will pop up in a window where you enter a URL or a page name, and the window will start offering names to you as you write. When you use Add a Page, you can just click on the button and if you are an admin, the page is automatically assigned to your Business Manager. If you don’t have admins rights, the request is automatically sent to the current admin.
Request to a Page will take you to the level of permission that you require for the page. Select the corresponding one and complete the request.
The same procedure follows when adding or requesting access to your Ad Accounts, except for the fact that, unlike your name or URL, you must enter your Ad Account ID:
The “People” tab is located in the top left column. The column next to it is the list of colleagues, once again, and the right-hand side then manages and reviews their permission. When clicking on the blue “Add” button, you will see the window below, enter the desired person’s email, select whether you want the person to be the Administrator of the whole Business Manager (superior position, we recommend giving it only to the company’s owners or the person in charge of managing the entire Business Manager) and in the next steps, you can intuitively assign individual items (pages, accounts, pixels) along with giving the permission to them.
The easiest way to assign Pages, Ad Accounts and more to your agency is through the “Partners” tab. You can find it in the left column at the top under the “People” tab.
This method offers the easiest addition of any item in several steps. You don’t have to add a page, an ad account, and more sequentially in special steps, which will save you a lot of time, name copying, business ID and contact search. Click “+ Add” and enter the Business ID provided by the agency in the free field.
In the next window, you see a list of all the items that exist in the Facebook environment on the left, and in the right section, you see the specific items you have in your Business Manager. Once the item has been chosen, you can select the permission level in the right-hand menu (more about permission levels below). After you “check” everything you need, simply click on “Assign Assets” and it’s done!
We hope the tutorial will help you, and we wish you a lot of advertising successes that we will be happy to assist you with.
Business Manager is a Facebook tool that helps you organize and manage your business. When you join Business Manager, coworkers can't view your personal Facebook profile unless you approve their friend requests. Coworkers can only see your name, work email address and the Pages and ad accounts you have access to.
You need a Facebook profile to create a Business Manager account. You use your Facebook username and password to sign into Business Manager. It's a more secure way to log in than with just an email address and password.
Note: You can create only 2 Business Manager accounts. If you need more, please work with someone else in your organization to create additional Business Manager accounts.

Make sure that you have a personal Facebook account to confirm your identity.

With over 1.7 billion daily active users, Facebook is the world’s biggest social media platform—and a great place to promote your business. Fortunately, you can set up your Business Page and start posting content in less than an hour.
Ready to get started? Let’s look at how to create a Facebook Page and touch on some quick tips for optimizing your account.
The process for setting up your own page on Facebook has changed over the years.
Here’s what to expect in 2021.
No, you can’t set up a Facebook Page without having a personal account. Every business page has to be linked to a personal Facebook account. Your connection to the business won’t be public, so your personal profile will remain private.
If you don’t have a Facebook account yet, set one up first. To create a Facebook account, you’ll need to provide your name, birth date, and email or mobile number.
Using Business Manager is optional, not a requirement. We’ll cover creating a Facebook business page from your personal account. Then we’ll look at how to do it via Business Manager.
Begin by signing in to your personal profile. Then follow the steps to set up your page.
First, click the plus symbol in the upper right corner and select Page from the dropdown menu. Alternatively, navigate directly to https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.
Next, enter:
Then click Create Page to publish your page.
After creating your page, scroll down to add a profile photo and a cover image.
Choose images that are visually appealing and that represent your brand. After all, people will see these images every time they visit or search for your page or spot your page in their newsfeed.
Follow these best practices:
By default, Facebook assigns you a URL that includes your page name and a random string of numbers.
Click Create Page Username to replace this default with your URL of choice. It can be up to 50 characters and should be something easy to search for—such as your brand or business name.
Next, add information about your business:
To add even more optional details, navigate to Edit Page Info. You can input your privacy policy, products, Wi-Fi network name, or price range.
To make the most of your page, you have to grow your audience. Yet before inviting Facebook friends to follow your page, you should post content. After all, you want to make a good impression and show people what they can expect from your page.
Consider publishing an introduction to your team or your business, information about new products or services, or a link to your latest blog post.
Now your page is ready for followers. If you have personal Facebook friends who would be interested in your brand, invite them to like your page. You can also try other best practices for getting more Facebook followers, including hosting giveaways and creating viral content.
You can create a Facebook Page for any business or brand you represent by following each step above.
However, if you don’t want to manage it through your personal account, you can use Business Manager to create your page.
Start by logging in to Business Manager and navigating to the Pages tab. Then click Add and Create a New Page.
Next, choose a category from the list:
Then follow the prompts, which require the same information we covered above to set up and publish your page.
If you already created a page with your personal account, you can move it to Business Manager and keep work and personal accounts separate.
Click Add and Add a Facebook Page. Then enter the name of the page or the full URL to choose a page you’d like to start managing from Business Manager.
Once you’ve set up your page, make sure to optimize it for your business or brand.
To grow your audience, share your Facebook Page URL.
You can link to your Facebook Page from your website or your other social channels to encourage fans and customers to follow.
Facebook pages can be customized so you can highlight the features that matter for your brand.
To change the way your page looks, go to Settings and Templates and Tabs. Change to a ready-made venue, services, or public figures templates or manually choose and organize the tabs you want to show.
If you want to sell products on Facebook, switch on the Shop tab. Then link your e-commerce catalog to sell from your website or upload your products and enable checkouts on Facebook.
To encourage customers to book services, set up appointments. You can add available times and dates, showcase your services, and create automatic appointment reminders.
If you run a restaurant, café, or food truck, you can use Facebook to publish your menu. You can also highlight your dining options—such as delivery or dine-in—so customers know exactly what to expect.
Switch on the Reviews tab to invite customers to share their thoughts and rate your business. Make a point of responding to every positive or negative review so people know you’re responsive to any customer concerns.
If you want to make sure followers your big announcements and special offers, pin a relevant post to the top of your page’s feed. Pinned posts stay at the top of your feed until you remove them or replace them with another.
Do you want to offer a special discount to your followers? With Facebook, you can create and share offers for free.
Just input the terms and publish the offer. Anyone who saves it will receive an automatic notification from Facebook before it expires.
If you want to use Facebook to advertise your brand, set up Facebook Ads Manager. There, you can pay to reach more customers, promote posts and offers, generate leads, or drive revenue. (Check out these tips for managing Facebook Ad comments.)

Facebook supports business accounts so that anyone who wants to create a Page or Ad but not a personal profile can still access the website. Business accounts are only for individuals who do not have personal profiles and do not want to create one. Managing multiple accounts violates Facebook's Terms of Use, so don't create a business account to manage Pages if you already have a profile. People who view a Page that you create with your profile won't see that you are attached to it.
Facebook business accounts exist so that people can administer Facebook Pages and campaigns without a personal profile. Business account users cannot view other users' profiles or pages; they only have access to their own Pages and Ads. These accounts are also not viewable to other users. Personal account users, conversely, have the well-known Facebook capabilities such as creating and sharing a profile, having friends and viewing other profiles and Facebook Pages.
Business account users have the ability to view and edit all Pages and Ads that were created with that account. Editing abilities include adding content such as Page updates, basic Page information, videos, photos and events. Business account users also have access to statistics about their Pages and Ads provided by Facebook.
To create a business account, first create a Facebook Ad or Page. Fill in the information and follow the prompts on screen. Facebook will then take you to its login page and ask you if you have an account. Select "I do not have a Facebook account" and enter your email address and date of birth. Facebook then creates your limited-access business account.
If you have a business account but would like to upgrade it to a personal account, click "Create Your Profile" at the top of your business page. From there, Facebook will walk you through providing additional personal information and will create a personal profile that some other users can find, depending on your privacy settings. You will still be able to manage your Ads and Pages by clicking "Applications" in the left column menu and selecting "Ads and Pages." Your personal name will not be publicly linked to them. Once you create a personal profile, you can't change it back to a business account.
